Selects 20 participants for the first Mentorship Project
In line with its vision of building and promoting strong entrepreneurship in Africa and to encourage intra-African economies solutions. Career Show Media has launched its first Career Show African Mentorship Program. This is largely due to the benefits mentoring provides to individuals, and organizations. For individuals, mentoring is related to positive career outcomes such as increased compensation, and greater career and job satisfaction. The online mentoring program will begin on February 14 and will end on February 26, 2022.
Out of the 150 applications received for the Career Show African Mentorship Program, 20 young and inspiring Africans were selected.
The Career Show African Mentorship Program is an initiative that gives 20 Young Africans the opportunity to learn from great African leaders and entrepreneurs, to receive practical training to better launch and manage their activities, and to enable them to be better equipped to seize funding opportunities.
PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES
In the first week, selected candidates will be trained by Career Show coaches on how to do a business plan, make their project bankable, and marketing strategies to ease the commercialization of their products or services. At the end of the first week candidates are expected to design a feasible business plan for their projects.
In the Second week, candidates will be trained on how to prepare a pitch, learn more about opportunities and trade on our continent, and will learn other tools that will help them to better manage their businesses.
On 26 February 2022 which is the Closing session, candidates will learn from the experience of great entrepreneurs and leaders. This will permit them to be well armed to launch their business or to better manage their activities. We will equally help them in their application for funding opportunities.
Career Show is using this program as a way to promote and contribute to meeting sustainable development goals. They believe that entrepreneurship is an important factor to uplift the African Continent.
