Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has congratulated His Excellency Jean-Claude Gakosso, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of the Congo, on the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In a statement by the spokesperson of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebenifa, the Nigerian government recognizes the commitment, determination, unity, and resilience of the Congolese people in their journey towards sovereignty and national development.
Nigeria reaffirms its shared commitment to peace, mutual respect, and the enduring bonds of African brotherhood with the Republic of Congo.
Both countries have maintained warm and cooperative relations, driven by collaboration in trade, cultural exchange, maritime affairs, and regional peace initiatives.
Nigeria reaffirmed its readiness to deepen existing ties, explore new areas of mutual benefit, continue working together to address regional and global challenges, and and strengthen collaboration on economic cooperation for the advancement of both countries.
